Finalists are announced for The Scottish Virtual Restaurant Awards 2021

The Scottish Virtual Restaurant Awards 2021 will be celebrated virtually on Wednesday 12 May.

With over 2,000 nominations received, the list with the finalists has now been complied.

The Covid-19 pandemic presents unique challenges for the restaurant industry with closed shops and various restrictions being in place.

However, there are restaurants and businesses that have successfully adapted to the new challenges the industry has faced since the pandemic started.

In recognition of this, the Awards will celebrate local heroes for their talent and commitment  to serving the country, promoting different cuisines and connecting the community through food and culture.

Some of the most loved restaurants in Scotland have been shortlisted in categories such as; Inspiring Restaurant of the Year, Restaurant Delivery of the Year and Front-Line Support Food Hero to name but a few.

Katarina Los, spokesperson for The Scottish Virtual Restaurant Awards said: “The virtual event will provide a platform for the restaurant owners to share their stories of how their business has navigated this unique and unprecedented year.

“We would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck and we are looking forward to celebrating the winners with them.”
